MORNING WHISPER

Clytemnestra Aa
Sep 2015 (c)

Autumn Sky

Shed your frowning eyes away
And brood the despair of humanity
Whisper into our souls
As the shy sun
Casts its warm rays
From behind a veil
I beseech you God
Have mercy on us
Though short a journey it was
It loosened us
Flung into the cosmos
Dancing on pyres of pain
Barefoot Backless Dispersed
Like shaved wool
in the hand of Notus
We need YOU
to scrape those pieces back together
to stand firm
like deeply rooted ideals
in the face of unfathomable chaos
Amen
