Thunder rumbled through muffled stars
rain lavished chroma on restless hearts
lightning illuminated rayless abyss
nature summoned puissance
..all impotent..all futile
none could arouse breathless me
nature scrabbled against havoc
tenacious it was
casting a spell of vigor
engulfing my soul with tremor
..all in vain..all barren
