Forlorn

I engraved your name on a cedar tree...That shaded my heart
And sheltered my soul 
Its entangled leaves rustled 
Playing the symphony of lovers
For years and years ..
Till willows, oaks and cypresses
went green with envy!!! 

Swarms of nightingales nested
On wedges laden with passion 
Soft breeze playfully waved hello
Morning dew saluted me
Branches encumbered by Snow flakes ..paid me a lingering visit 
It's only you..Who didn't show up!
