Query of an Uprooted Heart

Clytemnestra Aa
Aug 31 2015 (c)

I planted you
in the ever fertile soil
of my poems
Drizzled you
with sweetest semantics ever
so you'd bloom
And be the fruit to my eyes
I fed you bits of my soul
To silence your hunger
for my breath
for my lips calling
your name in the dark
I pruned you with my touch
So you shimmer in marvel
I bid words quilt you
on cold nights
So warmth abides
your frozen bones
Still
You abandoned me
to astray hunger,
thirst and frost
